Questions About Annual Teaching Plans
What is an annual teaching plan (ATP)?
An ATP is the DBE plan that sets out which CAPS topics are taught in each week of Term 1 to Term 4, and when formal assessments (tests, tasks and exams) take place.
Who uses the ATPs?
Teachers use them to plan lessons and assessments. Learners and parents use them to see what is coming in each term and to plan revision.
